Seabirds Suffer From Even Very Small Oil Spills

"Small oil spills such as those deliberately pumped from passing ships do huge amounts of damage to populations of seabirds. A drop of oil the size of a quarter sentences a seabird to a slow painful death by hypothermia in the cold waters of the north Atlantic." -Excerpt from the International Fund for Animal Welfare at http://www.enn.com/direct/display-release.asp?id=7884
