Surfrider Foundation Members Helped Honor the Life of Duke Kahanamoku

"A grassroots effort that was spearheaded by members of the Surfrider Foundation, an environmental group, lobbied for the creation of a U.S. postage stamp bearing Duke Kahanamoku's likeness. The U.S. Postal service issued the thirty-seven-cent stamp in 2002." - excerpt from the book Waterman, The Life and Times of Duke Kahanamoku by David Davis.
