Our Ocean Should Not Be An Oil Rig Dump!

"The ocean is not a garbage dump and shouldn't be treated as such," said Santa Barbara County Supervisor Naomi Schwartz. "These sawed-off oil platforms do not provide habitat. They just provide a mass around which fish swim. The members of the oil industry do not want to pay the cost of making good on the commitments they made when they installed these platforms. Some things are not for sale; and I think that the health of our Santa Barbara Channel should not be for sale."
