Public Approval of Marine Protected Areas
- "The Conservation Law Foundation, The Ocean Conservancy, Environmental Defense, World Wildlife Fund Canada and the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society together sponsored a poll that interviewed 750 residents of New England and Atlantic Canada. Among the poll's findings: - The public is very supportive of establishing fully protected "no-take" ocean areas that prohibit all extractive activities, including commercial and recreational fishing.
