Websites

Maryland's Chesapeake and Coastal Program Website is:
http://www.dnr.state.md.us/bay/czm/

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Chesapeake and Coastal Program (MCP) Website is well organized and easy to use. Here is a map of Maryland's coastal zone.

It provides information on beach access, beach erosion, beach fill, and shoreline structures.

Several publications are available via the MCP Website and the MDNR Website.

Among these is Maryland's 2006 Coastal Zone Management Act Section 309 Assessment.

Information sources that were not previously available via the MCP Website, such as Maryland laws and regulations and maps, photos, and other geo-spatial data are now available at the Maryland's Coastal Atlas section of the Website. In addition, the Maryland Geological Survey has a wealth of maps and data.

Links to other state, regional, and national organizations are not available directly via the MCP Website. Instead, try the MDNR Website

The MCP Website is fairly up-to-date; the MDNR Website is very up-to-date.
