The NJ Coastal Data link provides a wealth of information on shoreline coastal maps and data. This is a great compilation of data sources!

The New Jersey Office of Coastal and Program Coordination (NJOCPC) Website provides some information on the beach health indicators. The New Jersey Land Use Regulation Program (NJLUR) Website, within which the NJOCPC Website resides, is an additional source of information. http://www.state.nj.us/dep/landuse/index.html

Also very useful is the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Website. http://www.state.nj.us/dep/. This excellent Website is very well organized and easy to use.

The NJDEP Website provides information on beach access, water quality, beach erosion, beach fill, and shoreline structures.

One of the unique features of the NJDEP site is the "your environmental indicators/about my environment" page http://www.state.nj.us/dep/citizen_mynj.html. This site provides a direct link to indicator measures in the areas of beach water quality and land acquisition, among others. It is a model of the sort of information that should be available in every coastal state.

The Coastal Training Program from the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve provides up-to-date scientific information and skill-building programs for New Jersey’s coastal management community to address the challenges of Climate Change, Land Use & Zoning, and Stormwater & Wastewater.
